Not really a bad beat .. but annoying

I don't often post these. They are too commonplace to bother. But it only happened ten minutes ago, and I'm still annoyed.

Blinds 1k/2k

only 6 on the table. Folds around to MP who limps. Folds to me in the SB, with Ax10x (13k behind). Now, the BB only has 3k behind, so I raise to 8k to isolate. No dice - MP limper calls (covers me by 2k).

Flop comes Ax 10x 4x

I push for my last 6k. BB calls all in for his last 3k. MP calls.

SB - 4x6x
MP - QxJx

Turn - blank.

river - F***ing king.

That's how i roll. Apparently.

Ouch. I'd call that a bad beat, Scott.

I had something similar like that tonight. Blinds 500/1000, I'm in the BB, I have 4500 left over. MP players goes all in for 1000, SB completes. I push all in, SB insta calls (he had about 9k, so half his stack).

MP: Q9s.
SB: A6s.
Me, BB: AKo.

SB flops the flush draw. I river the K but it completes his flush, he takes it all. Really got to me as SB is such a loose player, called a 9xBB raise earlier with K9 and ended up splitting a pot with another player who also called the 9xBB raise with K7 (flop A K x, then split it in the end). Guess what they 9xBB raiser had? QQ.

Even worse is because a few hands before the SB knocked me out, he said he "wanted to go home."

"Just go hand in your chips then."
".....nah."

Grr.

My sympathies are rather tempered Scott ;)

Wish I'd been there to see it - but I actually fell asleep between early and late games - was busy picking up my Sky City satellite Thursday night/Friday morning at the Royal, so I was running on about 3 hours sleep :D

<Chuckle> Yup. Very nasty and one heck of a 'call'. Probably a little worse given the end result of that game. :(
