I am not normally one to complain but I had been there for the first game supporting the venue by buying drinks to stamp up my passports and got both my passports stamped up legitimately in the second game only to get sucked out by some bloke that got chipped up for buying one drink.

Surely there should be some responsibility on the pub to ensure everyone gets stamped up correctly. Does anyone else think this is wrong?

This doesn't sound particularly good, but I still maintain you've not been party to all the transactions. Nothing happens in isolation. There may have been some prior arrangement you weren't aware of (I'm not actually suggesting this happened, but rather putting forward a possibility)

That said, I can completely see how that would put you off, BUT being transparent in stamp policy, whilst desirable, is not a requirement of business that fork out hundreds of dollars every time they chose to host NPL events.

excuse me rcon ... when i leave my house to go to poker i have money to pay for drinks and dinner I dont expect to get stamped out for free
But if i get a drink and the lady or man on the other side of the bar gives me 4 stamp instead of 2
Is it up to me to tell him off??? ... I think that is the question here

But my dear Xtal, that is exactly my point. If the business chooses to stamp someone up, it is entirely their choice. How is it different to what Simon outlined above?


edit: how do you think it makes others feel when they see you taking those extra stamps and not speaking up? It doesn't bother me, as I feel venues have a right to stamp up how they chose.
