rcon wrote:That is the bit I'm trying to work out - I wanted him out of the hand, but I also didn't want to push all in preflop (cake and eat it too?)

Any takers for believing 800 or 1k would have got him out? I'll ask him next time I see him, but I'll never believe it

 I had that with KK the other day. I wanted to raise high enough to get anyone playing A rag our of the pot, but I wanted callers, too. Blinds 100/200 and I raised to 800 from no 2 - whole table folds. I thought afterwards I should've raised to 600.

1k would've been enough to get KJ to fold, I'd say.

rcon wrote:JJ, how can you not love JJ? They are still high enough you see complete boards under then, and low enough you aren't in too much danger of falling in love with them - I find it much easier to fold JJ than QQ, and yet you'll see almost as many boards under JJ :D :D :D

Oh, I agree, JJ is SO easy to fold :D Two overcards on the flop after a big preflop raise? GET OUT OF THERE!

Given that we play so much together we have reads on each other.

I put you on mid to low pockets, so I thought I had overs and position.

I thought you hit the set of 9's on the flop, so if the turn had paired the board I would not be so happy with my straight.

I admit I got REALLY lucky, but its gotta happen every so often.

I'm always grumpy... and the fact you always ask every season made me laugh.
