I had that with KK the other day. I wanted to raise high enough to get anyone playing A rag our of the pot, but I wanted callers, too. Blinds 100/200 and I raised to 800 from no 2 - whole table folds. I thought afterwards I should've raised to 600.

1k would've been enough to get KJ to fold, I'd say.

JJ, how can you not love JJ? They are still high enough you see complete boards under then, and low enough you aren't in too much danger of falling in love with them - I find it much easier to fold JJ than QQ, and yet you'll see almost as many boards under JJ

I thought you hit the set of 9's on the flop, so if the turn had paired the board I would not be so happy with my straight.
