Re: Crown Casino Cash Game Hand #2
I did say comparitively small, although I also did count the pot as 300 for some reason on first reading, not 4... he still had what 800+ behind him to shove?
I realise you dont have much to fear from drunk guy's PLAY, but they do seem to have a way of every now and then having the very cards you dont want to see, often quite unlikely cards given the action to...
Well that seems to happen when I encounter drunk players (although I do still seek them out of course), or they chase like hell and sometimes get there...
Also, imho, given drunky's stack compared to the other guy's and yours, forget him and trying to keep him in the pot. He cant really hurt you that much, the other guy can. Focus on him (BS). Also given your description of him, what made you think a raise at some point would make him fold?
Do you think the BS would fold this hand if you shoved the turn?
Just another thought to: Just because BS hasnt bluffed previously, doesnt mean he wont. God only knows why he is showing all or most of his hands, perhaps it is a sign of arrogance (or ignorance), and if this is the case, he will bluff sooner or later. Perhaps he just hasnt needed to bluff yet, as he has been hitting hands often enough ?? Even if he doesnt, you shouldnt assume he wont just because he hasnt yet...

I show hands far too often. Will not show a hand this GF unless I have to.

No, he would have (almost)def called with the 3rd nuts. I think J 10 (a very specific hand i know) was well and truly in his range and I didn't want to see him roll me. I really was happy with the pot plus him sliding out $150-200 on the river that i would have called in a heart beat - never re-raising just in case he has J 10 (10 6 ruled out for I think this would not be in his rasing range).

You are right, but he just didn't seem like the type to bluff off almost all of his chips. I would not have called him arrogant or ignorant - he seemed like one of those guys that showed with a 'sorry mate, but i had you - here's the proof'. Hard to describe - but you have probably met these players yourself. Too nice for their own good type of thing. But even knowing this, I still had to (LOL - I 'had to' call) call because I hoped he would show down a strong hand that was beat by my straight (Top set or even AA etc) more often then J 10 or 10 6.
