You're a Bunch of Factors

Hi all

I have provisioned a new (better, business-grade) server which I am moving the 888PL Forum to. I want this to happen sooner rather than later so I am letting you all know now.

This means we might be down for a short while, depending on how quick DNS can work for me.

To cut along story short, I will:

- Copy account/forum/files/database to new server.
- This means there will be TWO copies/versions of the forum
- Point 888plforum.com.au to the NEW server
- Put forum on OLD server in "maintenance mode"

This means that once the DNS for the forum has propagated throughout the world, the forum will be live on the new server.

One issue there has been in the past with moving forums is avatars; they seem to fall off so no account has one. I'm hoping this is the only thing that might go wrong (but am trying to make it not happen).
