Adelaide Casino Autumn Classic

These events look pretty decent.

I am thinking at this stage that i might play events 1-5, and try for a decent score and maybe the leaderboard. the 6 handed and the PLO events should be the most fun. i have no idea why the adelaide casino is trying to push crazy pineapple, maybe they think of that as a feeder game to plo, but it still should be fun.

Garth, any chance of changing the melbourne champs satellite on saturdays to a autumn classic main event seat for a couple of weeks? (melb champs main event is on 12th may, the adelaide one is on the 26th so there is a couple of weeks that you could run the satellite)

I can consider it, but it is not a major series, it is in a casino that we have no positive commercial relationships with and I feel that it would not be supported widely by the players in other states.

1+2 for me.

Going to see if I can take forever on every decision and catch everything there is to catch so can I win my way into the Main Event :)

If it doesn't happen, I think I'll just blame Dave :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

personally, i like satellites where there are lots of seats rather than just 1 or 2 so i would play the rebuy one.

BUT

the rebuy one is likely to cost in the 100-200 range i would think, so if money is an issue then the other one would be better.

lets say you had $150 to spend on satellites - would it be better to play 2x option 1 or 1x option two? now thats a pretty tough choice, if you can make it down twice i would think about playing both of the events on consecutive thursdays, but if you have one shot at it i would play the rebuy.

1 prize only out of 20 runners.

3-5 prizes out of 45-60 runners.

Rough guesstimation but it all comes down to how desperate you are for a seat. In the twin table sitngo's you will most likely be going up a few regulars, and unless you shoving skills are good, you will be a little out of your depth. Also winner take all tourney which i hate.

In the rebuy satellite, you will find the similar regs, plus a lot of other players that might only go in for 1 or 2 rebuys. Will generate more seats, and you will have a chance to gain more chips from players at certain stage points during the tourney.

Horses for courses really.

this is a very good point - the rebuy tournament will be deeper for longer
