Good to know even Pros make BIG mistakes

Postby AJG » Tue May 04, 2010 2:52 am

Was watching the 2009 WSOP, down to about 25 runners.
Hand came up Ivey UTG raises with 88, called from bigblind with A9o
Boring hand in that it checks to the river, but the board gives Ivey a flush, and the river was an A... Ivey also checks his flush...
BB anounces he has an Ace, and Ivey MUCKS???
WTF???
Obv misread of the board, but makes me feel better doing so when I see Ivey do it to :)

He explains that during the final table broadcast.

He didn't realise he had a spade, as well as not realising there were 4 spades on the board.

He probably was also a bit surprised by being 3-bet pre by A9o. :D

Gives us all a bit of hope knowing that even the big boys mess up every now and then.

gmatical: Hardest thing was getting enough chips to cover up my girfriend when I took the picture... and to get them to stay in place, they kept falling off all the time...

Nah, LOL I found it searching for poker related avatars ising google images.

Will have another quick look and see if i can find it again, and post a link for you.... Nice one isnt it :)

Edit: there are even more results on Google images now than when i first found it, but even the original I downloaded was only small, intended for an avatar or similar, so cant get you a bigger version sorry...
