Joe Hachem Deepstack Tournament Structures

I invited Kleeeeeman to come but he wimped out (Seriously dude, your 21st is no big deal. Yearly poker tournaments don't happen all the time! :P )

I have finally sorted my shifts out so I'll be there from Saturday til Wednesday. Can't afford to take too much time off work due to my 3k engine rebuild last week so I would love to ship one of these events.

I'm not going to say what events I'm DEFINATELY going to be playing because last time I said that I played the first one, got smashed in 10 mins and was so pissed off didn't play another tournament for the rest of the trip.

That said, considering atm:

Sun 15th 12:10pm
Event 1 - $230 NL Holdem
15,000 Start Stack, 25 Blind levels.

Mon 16th 2:30pm
Event 4 - $550 Mixed Event (7 Game)
20,000 Start Stack, 40 Blind levels, Game swaps every 8 hands.

Mon 16th 7:10pm
Event 5 - $230 PL Omaha
15,000 Start Stack (3 x 5000 stacks), 25 Blind levels.

Tue 17th 7:10pm
Event 8 - $340 Terminator NL Holdem
15,000 Start Stack, 30 Blind levels, $100 per knockout

Add the usual 2 hours of sleep per day and copius amounts of ring games and i'm looking forward to it! 8-)

looking at maybe next year to do this.

even doing it on the cheap, you can play the $120 events every day as well as the main event for like $1k. thats pretty good value

Let me know when you're playing, I will come down and rail you. Where do you plan on staying, at crown?

Not when it'll be a bitching HOUSE PARTY! (ps everyone check your FB events list). Like I said, we're doing it next year. Scott and I discussed this. Too soon to pull out $1k for a series that's in a month, but definitely enough time to do this for 2010.

Lets get a whole group of us going IMO.

Probably not. Last time I stayed at crown because I was staying with a mate. We were both Mahogany room members so the room was uber-cheap.

Unfortunately I lost my card while I was over there and the lack of use meant they cancelled it and I have to re-apply.

This all means I can't arrange a room through them until I get another card.

So cheapo CDB accomodation for me. I've got a mate interested so it could be cheaper still.

I don't sleep that much in Melbourne anyway. 8-)

Same as last time, I'll have my laptop with me so will be posting live event reports at the end of every session.

Obviously never been to crown before. I know there are no guarantees in poker, but you WOULD NOT come back with less than you started with. Unless turn in to Brett/Degen, get drunk and smash Blackjack.

Flights and Accom. (4 nights, middle of CBD) for $308. Arrive 5:15pm on Saturday, left 10am Wednesday. My bankroll is growing as some debts owed to me start rolling in. Based on that I can nearly freeroll the first few tournys.

Getting pumped now!

Edit:

And to celebrate the fact that the Crown has the most lax rules ever, I'm off to buy a new iPod (with a battery I don't have to recharge every 4 hours like my last one) so I can stay focused while grinding those ring games!
