what a great weekend!

Postby madali » Mon Oct 26, 2009 2:08 pm

Thank you 888pl for a great weekend I had a fantastic time. For the whole 3 days everything ran like clockwork and the 888pl staff and venue staff were so friendly and professional it was great. All of the hard work put in by so many really showed.
I met a lot of people from the online tournaments and it was great to finally put a face to the name. Special mention to the wonderful octaweb and tonyonechip who were two of the loveliest gentlemen that you could meet. Another on liner who deserves a mention is the guy who is always threatening to beat everyone up. After seeing him I am still laughing and don't think I will be able to contain myself when I find myself on his table again. I wont mention his name but if you have been on the end of one of his tirades I think you know who I mean

As for the poker it was great. I played really bad on the first day and I was so disappointed in myself but hey that is poker. Found a couple of really good players on my table and went with my heart instead of my head too many times. Second day my play was a little better but still missed everything (4th in the Aussie Millions qualifier).

To all of the players who made the money congratulations. Awesome effort. To Garth and the 888pl staff thank you for a wonderful weekend. And to the winner Nicole you go girl you did Victoria proud. And finally thank you to Brett for the updates. I was able to find out who won when I got home at 4 am this morning.
Looking forward to the next grand final. I hope I can win seat again this season and see you all there.

Sounds like we all had a great weekend. I don't think we met but I did have your husband on my table at the start of day 2 and I did watch you playing the AM satellite so congrats on running deep in that. Did you win anything for 4th?

no only top 3 paid. But i felt better that I had run deep in something after bombing on day one in the main event. I think I am glad that I wasn't on your table because I hear you play very well.

thank you I will. Congratulations to you on playing so well in the main event. While your bank balance may not reflect how well you played you know you played great solid poker and you should be proud of yourself
