I played for the other team....

I was led astray last night by a friend and did something I’ve never done before. And while it is not something I have ever thought about, (well, maybe just once, but I was really drunk at the time) I found I have mixed feelings about it.
I played an Oz Poker League game last night.
To a poker noob like myself, who’s had a very sheltered poker life (I’ve ONLY played NPL/888PL live. Never even gone to the casino.), this was quite an eye opener. Compared to 888PL it was like jumping Manhattan into the Appalachian Mountains where webbed feet & banjo picking are the norm.
Don't get me wrong, the people were great but the presentation etc of the league was just one level above a game a hurriedly thrown together in a shearing shed.
Overall it was a very interesting learning experience and highlighted just how good we have it here @ 888PL. Our TCs and management really does a great job and the results of that little extra effort are very clear. (can I get my bonus chips now?)
