confusion

I am only a casual forum browser, and casual NPL player.

For those that don't spend everyday on here and don't speak in poker acronyms the move to 888 has many, many people confused.

Is there a way for N/888 PL to send an email out to detail what is going with their online tournaments/integration with normal pub tournaments, because it is all extremely unclear and confusing for people that are new to poker websites and do not understand every acronym that is used on this site!

Is it easy to do?
Are they operating every day/night? (internet tournaments i refer to)
Are they having the same leaderboards like pub tournaments have?
Do we have to pay for virtual drinks for stamp cards?
Is there a virutal Matt Porter to poke fun at players original yet humourous nicknames?
Is there the internet equivalent of having someone guarantee to knock a beer onto the table?

 CONFUSED!

Thanks :)

You raise an excellent point (not you Bruce, you just quoted stupidly).

Clarification on pretty much everything would be nice.

Have to say this has been a failing in recent times.

Spell it out as simply and as clearly as you can guys because if you don't then nobody will get it.

Maybe we could even have some sort of FAQ thing going as a sticky thread.

yeah the communication regarding exactly how the new comp will work has been a bit lacking, especially as it starts tomorrow.

If we got no idea on the forum, then it will be even harder for the everyday punter to understand it.

I hope its all cleared up tomorrow.

Yeah, I have to agree with everyone else here, clarification would be lovely. The freerolls are supposed to be starting tomorrow and I don't even know what time they are. And they're probably won't be a topic posted till mid-morning/early arvo, and the freerolls are supposed to start at 12, if I remember correctly.

Are we going to get an email at 9am or something?

OK just to clarify.

The Foundation 25k semi final = Champs weekend main event
The 15k Challenge semi final = CBI tickets event.
100k Grand Final = new national tourney for all states

Now, im assuming that as the challenge semi final event is only for people who win a ticket in CBI events, that the points leaderboard for challenge events (both home and online) will actually qualify for the foundation 25k semi final??

Is the points system used the same online (top 15) as it is for away (venue) games?? This has implications for the big leaderboard that combines home and away games. If (lets say the friday night freeroll) starts getting big numbers 150+, then i think you will see 888PL's biggest customers (i.e. the big points chasers) stay home and play instead of going to venues.

What will 888PL do in response to this?

To Clarify:

$25K Foundation Semi Final= Old NPL Main Event, top 5 at venues leaderbaord qualify for this from Foundation Events

$15K/$10K Challenge Semi Final = New Semi Final. QUalify via finishing in the top 5 of the Challenge event leaderbaord. No purchase or winning of tickets required. Deeper tournament structure and smaller more select field. Players on top 5 of Challenge Leaderboards will not qualify for Foundation Semi Final.

888PL Grand Final - three ways to qualify, Semi Finals, Direct Satellites or Monthly Qualifying Final. Tickets won via online Satellites or at nightly Away Challenge events will qualify player for Monthly Final. One in 10/20 will win seats into Grand Final at Qualifying final.

All Home events are capped at 150 players. Points system will remain the same as current for all Home and Away games. Response is good on them? Gives regional guys the opportunity to play in some big 888pl fields and take down some large points.
