At the start of the night Krunchie held a slender lead over Gundog, with MaccatakII way back in 9th.
Mac need a good showing to claw his way back into the top 5, he managed to build a stack to make an assult on final table early, whilst Krunchie encountered a couple of non thinking players at his early table, as the night progressed he managed to survive and upon returning from the final break he was left with a mear 1000, eventually fate took it course and a forced allin BB saw him still in the hand until the river yep Krunchie got krunched by the river. He missed on points along with Nugget another top 5 member.
When the last 2 tables were combined 6th through to 9th were still in and could spoil mac's shot at the five they were Chole +8 Newt +5 Roo's dad +1 and Mac, as the last 2 tables played out none of the contenders knocked out eventually 3 players from mac's table were taken out 2 wh were not in the race and the 4th placed player Jacob.
Final table was called Mac had the chip lead ever so slightly over Danny (not in the hunt) next there is Newt the Roo's Dad followed by Me then Wallaby(not in the hunt) Kerry (not in the hunt) Chloe(6th) and another Chloe a first time final table player.
Table positions Roo's D Dealer, Danny SB Me BB Chloe(6th) UTG then Newt, Chloe, Kerry, Mac and Wallaby.
Ist out is the newbie Chloe then Wallaby and Kerry bite the dust together. After taking half of Mac's chips off him Roo's Dad bites the dust in an all in tussel with Danny.
That 1 out of the way for mac but he still has newt and Chloe to worry about, then Chloe is out one down one to go, a very short stacked Newt finally bows out.
So its down to 3 Mac Danny and Me, I take out Danny and its Mac and the Gundog head to head, I'm not 2 worried of where I finish tonight.
Last hand Mac has about 20g more than me I shove with K 3, Mac calls with 2 3 off we both hit a 3 and the turn is kind to mac he hits a 2 the river is no help so Mac wins the night.
The final 5 for the venue
5th Chloe 249.1
4th Jacob 250.4
3rd MaccatakII 267.45
2nd Krunchie 268.34
1st Gundog 307.05
There maybe some minor adjustments to the final points as I'm not sure if there was 37 or 38 runner point were calculated on 38.

Yeah it was a good night. with everybody from 6-9th making the final table, there was some hectic calculations being done.
After almost quitting poker last week (not really) it was great to get win number 11 and go from 9th to 3rd in the last week. Im still pumped!!

Re: Last Night Jitters at Waikerie
It was a late finish to the game though, it was around 11:15 when it finished with the blinds about to go up to 30k/60k. Highest i have seen them get in a tourney that had 38 runners.
Both of us had less than 2BB when the money went in, so we may as well have been playing with our cards face up for the last few hands.
Is there some merit in capping the blinds at a certain % of the chips in play?? (so blinds might have been capped at something like 10k/20k)
