A drought breaker

I good to back in the winners circle with a victory at my home venue last night.
Unfortunatly the numbers were down last night with a half a dozen regular players missing, one wonders if the numbers at the venue have leveled out and at best we will see numbers in the low 30's as being the norm.
What can a small venue do to attract more players is it CBI's or some other adjustment to bring players back.

Yeah i know our venue has been talked about as a possible CBI event ( i have heard), but i dont know whether that will bring extra players and or lower the numbers. Not sure.

Sa is still averaging 45 players per event, just the number of events has dropped.
There will be a lot more going on in Season 3 with CBI's and a brand new comp structure, which I find very exciting.
This may rejuvenate a lot of ceased players.
So much in the way of prizes and cash on offer and the most innovative comp structure ever seen!
Can't wait to drop the bomb.

do you agree that the pub poker market has stabilised? do you think that the maximum number of venues has been reached?

Not entirely, no. There is still room for more events, and with the new introductions to the competition over the coming months we expect the market to grow once more.
Maximum amount of events for NPL in the state of SA lies somewhere between 120 - 130. That would be market saturation point.

Hi there Macca. I guess the Wheatsheaf will give you some sort of an answer next week and the additional weeks that follow as to whether it "CBI" will help increase the numbers or not M8.
However, unlike the Riverland etc, Virginia is pretty close to the northern districts around Salisbury, Elizabeth, etc, so they, the Wheatsheaf might attract more punters from those areas.
I suppose time and personal preferences will tell as to whether punters prefer Freeroll or Cash games M8.

Unfortunately, most of us aren't privvy to what has happened interstate Garth.
But I'm sure you have done the sums Garth and would be in a much, much, better position than myself and others on the forum as to how punters have responded to CBI events taking over their Freeroll venues..
