I like to celebrate milestones. So since no one else has done a 1k celebratory post. I am taking it in my style.
I have stopped posting since late Jan, due to a few certain change in circumstances. Some people know most of them, some people don't.
I got annoyed at the place i work in Karratha, and decided i needed a change. So i resigned and moved to Broome, have been here now for 3 weeks. And i can say it is a fun change, but am still finding my feet.
Its hard to explain Karratha, It is a pure working town, with no social outlets. The main things to do are Work, Drink, Sex, Sleep. I have been single for way too long, am not a big drinker (Garth takes care of that when he is in form). So i work and slept. Good value.
So moving to Broome, it is still a little bit slow around here, with tourist season expected to start soon. So working 20 hour weeks has been a shock to the system.
However the good news. Since i haven't played poker in 2 months, i have managed to have a run of 3 days off in a row. There just so happens to be some pretty good tournaments on as well.
So for the next two days i will be playing in the SCOOP events. Now this in itself might be a whatever message. The upside to this for me, is for once i can actually focus on playing some poker, not have to worry about work or other responsibilities.
What this all means. Brett is going to be playing some serious poker. God help the rest of the contenders. Playing the $22 omaha 1 rebuy 1 add on event in 4 hours. I am excited, feel good. Nice to have an old charge in the batteries.
So here is to my 1k Post, Hopefully a 30k gain in profit, and hopefully a new lease on my poker life.
To NPL, NPLFORUM, the Ole NPLSA (still type this in, i am stubborn Dave), The Murrins, The forum regulars, all the ones that are going to bitch about not naming them. You guys are all awesome, I hope when you all read this i have either made you proud, or in the process of making you proud.
Brett.
Just in case also playing the $33 NLHE 2 day event as well. So hopefully can get a Holdem and Omaha crown for the NPLFORUM trophy case.
