Krunchie and Macatack's Waikerie Deepstack

So last sunday after nearly 3 months of planning, our deepstack came to fruition.

Had 20 runners for the day, which was enough to break even on the lunch provided but slightly down on our expectation of 24.

Every single player was a waikerie NPL regular including our TD

10k start stack with 1/2 hour blinds for the first 4 levels then 20minute levels with antes

funny thing was we lost 5 before the first break, but that lead to some fairly serious cash games for the rest of the day

bloody good day in all, we are hoping to repeat this soon, keep it in mind for those looking for a good day of poker.

note

macca is dealing because he is out - haha

Gundog- god knows why he has his tounge like that, maybe he is thinking like a B&G'er

Megatilt (big dude in white shirt) brought a shirt along and modified it with texta and scisors ( god knows why) for this event, paid off though as he took the cash on the day.

Old man fredy ( top hat ), riverland legend and allround nice guy, what a man

Surely,"Guy in ridiculous sombrero" would have been a more apt signifier

Where did you get that table in the 3rd photo? Hmmmm? Hope its not one of ours.

As much as i love home games guys and fully support poker games in general, perhaps next time you could not advertise it on this website on a day that NPL poker is run in the Riverland.

I understand its Waikerie, and a long way from Renmark, but its kinda just not the done thing.

NOT A SMACKY WRISTY POSTY EITHER! :)

ITS ALL GOOD :D

NOTE THE SMILEYS PLEASE :D :D ;)

Just give it some thought.

Thank You

PS. Macca, what is the point of a Deepstack when you cant stay in at your own home game till the first break? Maybe try out our "super turbo events", who knows, you could get "lucky"

That said, you do look good dealing, job offer is still there if you are running that bad! :D

Toddy i certainly was not out before the first break

Lasted about 4.5 hours and got out just before the final table started, thats why i was dealing.

Toddy we were never going to steal many players from your up-river game anyway mate, we mentioned it here in the attempt to get some forumers to play.

Was a top day though.

There is poker on everyday in the riverland, its going to clash with something, your just cranky because it clashes with your beloved renmark :D
I would be very supprised if it effected the numbers at your game mate, only 1 upriver player at the event.

Macca did last a lot longer than the first break, probably went out around 2 or 3pm.

point taken todd, certainly not trying to effect NPL in anyway. We just gave some of our freinds (who happen to be npl players) a chance to experience a longer form of the game.

I'm sure some forumers would have been keen... but Sunday is hard especially if you have to drive a few hours back to adelaide that night.

Now now Toddy whats the big deal, NPL puts events up against regular venue games.

I'm about the only Waikerie player to play the Sunday game with any regurality except for this season, so it no net effect.

When a few Renmark players (except Demo) start traveling to Waikerie or vice versa it might be worth consideration, but while the status quo remains its not an issue, unless you and nic wanted to play but had to host the regular event at the RSC. :D

Will we see you at the net one in a few months. :?:
