A landmark win

Postby krunchie » Wed Jan 07, 2009 12:12 am

Ok so im blowing my own horn here but i belive i am allowed too.

After 6 seasons of NPL at the Waikerie club

including 1 season win, 1 season second and 2 other state qualifying positions.

After finishing every position on the final table multiple times except the big one.

After baring the brunt of Macca, Toddy, Gundog's and everyone else's jokes for almost 2 years.

I have finaly cracked it, my first NPL tourney win.

"cue raptuous applause"

It really had got to the point where i didnt think it would ever happen, and I thought I didnt really care but now i have a win I know I really did.

Thanks NPL for putting on a comp where i enjoy the competiton as much as I do other sports like Hockey and Cricket.

Does anyone know how to make money playing uno vs 6 year olds, its about the only card game i get to play these days.

Congrats Krunch. A more deserved win there never has been.

That first one will stick with you for a long time. Until you take down some ten dollar tourney for over 2,500 US.

Then that becomes your first win, or thats what you tell everyone anyway.

Well done Kruckie I know how you feel M8.
I only won my first tourney a couple of seasons back when we had that last three weeks to win a game and play at the Casino's Marble room. I also thought it was never going to happen.

Well done mate. im gonna have to re-evaluate my list of best players to have never won a tourney. There ain't too many people in the world left who hadn't won one yet.
