Started Playing online in 2006
Playing mainly freerolls i built up money in two seperate poker sites.
One of these sites was small and changed to euro $ so the decision was made to close this account and tranfer money to the larger poker site to round up to $100 in January 2008.

A Management Plan was designed
Tournaments 2% of bank
Sit & Goes 3% of bank

Cash Games 5% of Bank
BUT
No Limit & Pot Limit 1% of buy in BB
Fixed Limit 5% of buy in BB
(eg; $1000 balance = $50 buy in at 0.25/0.50 table)

3 Losses STOP for the day

A side bet was struck with the nephew of who can win the most and it was on

So i stuck to the plan religiously
Playing Tournaments and Sit & Goes Only
I picked up small money with the occasional win and slowly increased my Bank. A couple of nice wins made the Bank Balance rise suddenly
I stuck to the Management Plan especially with Tournaments.
With Sit & Goes i could have played in higher money games but the plan was to rise through the money stages and only increasing when a profit was gained after 20 games in each level

1 Year later and the Bank Balance stands at $1400
Im pretty happy with that especially as it has happenened without 1c of my money. :D

NOTE - The nephew lasted 2 weeks

Would be interesting to see others try similar

Top stuff there Goose.

Great example of bankroll management and how sticking to it can prove very beneficial.

My mate's turned $10 free from a site into about $400 in 3-4 months. He's well on his way.

PS - This is the 40,000th post :) YAY FOR ME!
