How to lose $400US in one second.

I was playing a $30US 27 player sit n go, and a $1/$2 cash table (9player) last night and i decided to play a $2/$4 cash table as well.

I just bought in on the 2/4 table for $400.

In the SNG i call a large raise with 66 and another player calls as well.
The flop is 6, A, 6 = JACKPOT. Turns out the original raiser has AK and the other caller has A-10, they do all the betting, I do all the calling...........

INCLUDING calling an all in with A-3 for $400 on the other table as it switches screens! :o

Im up against AK, bye-bye $400

This has happenned to me to a lesser extent before and I'm always aware of it but, it goes to show no matter how careful you are, things like that can still happen.

I won the SNG which got me back about $320, but thats not the point.

BE CAREFUL PLAYING MULTIPLE SCREENS ;)

So do you layer the screens behind each other ?, then play only when the action calls for it and the screen in question comes to the front.

I thought it is more sensible resizing the screens to see all at once, harder to veiw but less chance of a mistake and you can keep an eye on all the action at once.

Yes, i do that Krunch, but in this instance, i had just openned the 2/4 table and hadn't got to re-size it yet, i just ticked the "post BB" box, so it dealt me cards. At this time i had my quad sixes on the other table and was in the middle of betting/calling action. I quickly checked my forced bet on the cash table and went back to the quads.
Whilst on the SNG, someone at the 2/4 raised to $24 and the $800+ stack moved all-in, action was passed to me and the screen changed as i was hitting call on the SNG, so i also called the allin on the cash table. Not happy Jan.

That sucks Todd. I'm not running too well today either.

Set over set for $50. TPTK vs set for $50 (don't know what I was doing here). Top and bottom pair vs overpair, we get it all in on the flop, only for the board to pair. Counterfeited. $50 again.

:(

Give me $150 AK, and I'll happily lose it for ya too ;)

Hard luck there Todd.

Even with a reasonable sized monitor (24") I still much prefer larger table windows so one of the very first things I do is disable any 'bring to front' feature. More because it's annoying than anything else.
