Railing at the Aussie Millions!

So i just worked out that i will be in Melbourne the day that the Aussie Millions main event begins. Me and the girlfriend will be there for a couple of days on our way back from Tassie.

Si im thinking, awesome - i can go and watch some of the main event and maybe see some of my poker hero's.

But that got me thinking. I have never been to a large poker tournament before, so i wondered about the ettiquette of being a railbird.

Are you allowed to take photo's? How much is it to get in?

What other things do i need to know? Will there be signing sessions?

Im sure the atmosphere will be awesome, and with the Australian Open on at the same time - Melbourne will be going off.

I'm sure I could look this up for myself, but when is the "main" event?

You will get in trouble if you take photo's. You might be able to get away with it. But more from a Crown Security standpoint. E.g People trying to rob the joint.

As to railing, i missed out on going down their one day this year, But supposedly it is packed.

The current state of the aussie millions is that Full Tilt has pulled out. So therefore won't be many of their big stars in there. With the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure also on at the roughly the same time. Expect some of the lesser stars to be out. Especially the internet players.

But the aussie players are always there in full force.

Think i am there for a couple of days, won a trip to Melbourne to play in a Joe Hachem tournament. Brag post now. ;-)
