just have to give a big shout out daniel cook, who won his first tournament last night at the kinger (i wasn't there, just going by the NPL results) to back up his 10th placing at the regional finals

daniel used to use the "i dont really care about winning, im here to have fun" tagline for a while, and used to play accordingly - i.e he just used to play with carp all the time

but now he has realised, that it is actually more fun to play properly and do well. and as a result, his placings have been much better this season.

so a big well done to cooky, keep it up mate

Nah I didn't see him play all night, only a few hands, but he was monster stack all night. Had like 25k halfway through the second session.

But that's not to say he just hit cards, I did see him make some good plays, and if Shreky is seriously playing properly this season, good on him.

About time too, he was the only one of us (apart from Evan) that hasn't won a tourny.

Cheers benny the cunt, it felt good to win under the table. And I was favourite to win coz apparently I was the best player in the room. At least that's what a drunk guy sitting at my table early on said. Even when I told him different he disagreed with me and ensured me I was the best player in the room.
The whole playing properly statement isn't that accurate benny the cunt. Playing properly is fun, but only when you're winning. If you're there to just have fun, you get mroe enjoyment out of playing the carp cards and you expect to lose so you don't get angry/upset when you do. A great example of this is AK last Sunday night. He played hands he wouldn't normally, knowing he would probably have one of the worst hands on the table and yet he didn't care. He was smiling and laughing the whole night and he even said "playing without caring is a lot more fun". Ask him, it was probably the most fun he'd had at a poker night ever.

But thanks for the congrats benny the cunt. Maybe one of these days you'll win one so I'll be able to congratulate you back.

And yeah Shreky is right, I played absolute crap cards last Sunday and had a great time.

Nah benny the cunt has won. In the first season twice (you know when there were about 5 players each night) and in the second season once I believe. But I'm ignoring those stats as I wasn't playing at the time and so there was no one there to min raise him

i have won 3 tournaments, two of them were with 46 runners, the other was with 32 runners. the last of them was the first week of season 2, 2007, so a bloody long time ago.

the last time i won was when dakota was dealing at the old spot! lol that is a long time ago, although i can feel my next one isn't that far away.
