I cant work this ROI out, i mean it makes sense, but stats can be confusing to say the least.

2007-2008 i was ranked 97%-99% on Poker stars.
I was playing low level buy-in tournies, making the money lots, and losing HEAPS on cash tables.

This year im ranked about 54% and my ROI is <0%.
But ive been buying into bigger events and crashing more, but winning more than enuff on cash tables.

Im more happy and successful now than i have ever been but my stats show im playing the worst ive ever played!

Ultimately, i dont care about online rankings, i just care about how much $ im making.

sweet, 93.6% for the year for me.

Is that ROI for this year only?
If you use PT or whatever have you filtered for only this year, or is it using all your games to calulate ROI?

Thats one hole I think the poker software could plug, is to be able to join cash and touney winnings into an overall ROI

A return on an investment is what you get back on top of your investment.

If you invest $100 and make $100 profit, your return is 100%

A rental property has an ROI of about 5% a year, not 105%.. it's the amount returned, either as an mount or a percentage of your investment.

Exactly. Getting back the same amount invested does not equal a %100 return on your investment.
