Aussie Millions 2011

Postby bennymacca » Fri Jan 14, 2011 5:38 pm

Out now.

Had average stack at the last break until that got whittled down to 20bb.

Blinds 300/600, I complete with 67 after a button limp. Flop 4 6 8 two spades, I lead for 1100, bb folds, button raises to 3k, he has about 20 behind, so I decide to ship for 10k more, he tanks for ages and calls with 89o, turn and river are both spades to give him a better flush.

Sigh, I didn't get a pp once over 77, AK once and aj once.

Got lucky a couple of times when I was all in though, I shipped 18bb with aj into a raise and 33 called, board runs out 545TT.

Had fun though, will def be trying to qualify again that was really fun. I got a thrill from sitting with akenhead and Maria ho

Was outclassed though, played a few too many pots oop.

Just think of this as your first step towards the big win next year! Good luck to all still in.

Finished the day with 56k, average is around 65k. Had a really terrible start and after an hour was on 5k. Called down abbey who put me all in and I was good and from there I doubled a few times. Made a few sick play on the south African guy next to me who is good friends with Maria Ho (I'm assuming they are friends, they were hugging at break). Got up to 108k at one point but after our table broke I made a move (it was terrible) on Kristian lunardi and lost 34k of my chips. Then proceeded to lose a race against a shortstack - his AK>>TT. Still can't complain. Bring on Sunday.

Silly iPhone corrector. Where it says abbey it's meant to say "a guy".

What an awesome day! Snuck through to Day 2 of the opening event with $60k, just under average. Toughest field I have played in, by a mile.

And for what it is worth, my table started 10 handed, and actually played 8 or 9 handed for most of the day. Seems unfair that the tables last night had to squeeze 11 to a table.....
If you ask me, Muhammed Ali in his prime was much better than anti lock brakes.
