What an awesome weekend!!!
I LOVED the teams event on the Saturday, the standard of play was out of this world!!
We had a great table with really nice people..

State finals, I was pleased with how I went, table 1 and we had a tight competetive table. It was awesome to finally play with Big Pete.. I look forward to playing on his table again one day.

Hand of the day:
I got KK and raised, got called by 2 all-ins, I can tell you I just about sheet my nest.. lol
I won that and ended up with a $22k stack.

Knock out hand:
Came back from the break in small blind position, Mr Pseft went all in UTG, I called...
he had AA, I had AK.

Never sure if that is an insta-call thing or not, but I called (obviously as stated above.. lol)
The rest was history as I walked out tail between the legs.. LOL

But again... NPL staff managed to make a big busy weekend run in a flawless and fun manner. You guys are the best!!!
A huge thankyou to everyone involved.

All-in UTG always smacks of AK/AQ/TT/JJ/QQ to me, I often find people are happy for a caller with these hands, but really wouldn't mind just taking the blinds. So if you're happy to go up against these hands, sure, its an insta call.

AA/KK, they'll often play for a little value, or over play them to suck nevah in ;-)

Depends on his stack! If he had bugger all, call. If he had you covered, well...

To be honest, he had bullied me quite a few times, well it felt like bullying because he often raised quite highly or played highly, so I didn't put him on AA, I had him on low pockets and happy to steal blinds, especially so he had 2 free blind levels comming up.

He played it brilliantly and I was more than happy to hand my chips to him.

LOL... and no helping others sucker me in.. there is no challenge in that... LOL

He had me covered, but only just.
But as I said, I had him on small pockets happy to steal the blinds.

Depends what your stacks were I guess. If you were both short stacked, probably call

But if you had more than that, around average - I wouldn't throw all my chips in on a race (Assuming you were playing small pockets)
