Well it certainly not bad...
Only 2 to act behind postflop IF they call...
Often a preflop raise here will 'buy the button', i think thats why it is call the Hijack??

I said not the naughty one Caz!

It is a useful position if you feel like getting frisky.

You did too.. sorry..
But then you backed it up with being naughty... LOL

I am assuming by "Buy the button" you mean will make most everyone fold?
or am I still reading that wrong?

See, this is what gets me in trouble, I am not a position player, I am a what is in my hand player...
Probably why I can't bluff right.. LOL

Well, if the next 2 players (cut-off and button) fold, then you effectively have the button as you will be last to act postflop.
So yes I think you read it right.

Going out on a limb, i will say that learning about position in poker will probably improve your game the most, just remember that most players have no concept of it in pub poker...

@rcon, yes that exactly what I meant...

I read somewhere that Fenech had a good run at the WSOP...
Seriously?
And he calls with A6o??

I sat on his table all day yesterday and I can see exactly why he cashed at the WSOP. The guy is a gun and plays really solid poker. The problem for you guys is you read it here in black and white without the reads etc....
What?, poker without the river??, you've just made my dreams come true!!!

I agree with Jo here. yesterday I really didn't see him put a foot wrong when I was sitting down and assume he continued on with it.
I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

Fair enough, I accept what your saying, but I actually wasnt disputing he deserved his WSOP result. Rather that having played well enough to get it, calling a push with A6o, and a push that from the report was close to his own stack, sounded a little funky...
Now I read that post again it does read abit like "He calls with A6o, how did he ever cash the WSOP?". No, I meant it the other way around...

You got the honour of sitting with him at the last Grand Final as well didn't you JMack?

Jeff Fenech really is a top player.. and one hell of a bloke..

I was never ever someone that had an opinion of him.. but after playing on his table and just talking with him in general, my opinion of him is that he is just such a solid player and a genuine person.

Anyway.. Enough of me rambling about Jeff Fenech..
