Think so,

Nice ROI though, 3 tournaments for a nice cash of 34k in total.

Good value.

Almost makes me wish i had spare time to chase down some steps tickets.

But if all goes well, hopefully i win this joe hachem prize by pernod ricard.

hehehehe, Then i will stick it out for a while. LOL.

Seriously though, can't these events finish earlier!! I'm uber tired. I'm going to be like Grandpa Simpson all day.

Well done again Garth!

Thanks for railing me again guys.

Des you think you are tired. These last two days have been so emotionally draining you wouldn't believe.

For most of day 1 I could not gain any momentum, I copped a few bad beats and everybody was out flopping me.
At one stage with a 20K start stack, I was down to 7K with two and a bit hours of play left.

But in the last two blind levels I picked it up and built my stack to just under 60K.

But what a rollercoaster ride; to make some great reads and fantastic laydowns or calls for your tournament life that double you up, to only see more than half your stack to disappear in a stupid coin flip is really disheartening.

I don't think I can express the true feeling of hopelusness I felt when in the 3000/6000 level I made two good reads. I won't go into to much detail, I'm tired, but in the battle of the blind I flopped two pair and was value betting the whole way and getting called down by Paul Taylor. On the river he moves all in, the board is straightening a K9 gives you the nuts, 78 the second nuts. I tank for a long time and eventually I put him on 78, tell him this and I fold my Q4 face up. Paul goes, god damn it how can you not pay me off there, and flips K9 for the made straight.

Very next hand battle of the blinds again, I'm in SB again. BB raises after I limp, I call (KT by the way). Flop falls T, 7, 4, I fire for half the pot. He calls. Turn card is an 3, two diamonds now on the board I bet 45,000 and the villian comes over the top all in, for my tournament life, I run through the hand and decide I have the best of it, after tanking for what seemed half an hour I call.

He tables the 5,8 of diamonds and I'm well in front of his diamond and gutshot draw, and the river bricks. I move up to over 400,000 in chips and in the top 5 chip leaders.

Anyway another rotation later, I'm UTG and look down at AK spades.

I raise, get re raised and then I shove. Get called by Queens, yay first race of the tournament. I don't win and then I'm back down to 240,000.

First hand after dinner break have 88, Tino raises to 24,000 I call flop is J, 2, 3 rainbow. Pretty safe right? Not too bad? Tino bets out for 18,000.

WT? I decide to fold as something is hooky there and I wasn't sure what was going on and I wasn't risking any more chips in that hand. Tino turns over TT and says had your 6's beat right? You weren't thinking of shoving there were you? (Which is exactly what I was contemplating).

I decide that I will stay away from Tino for as long as possible.

Very next hand. I raise with JJ from mid position and get a call from BB.

Flop comes down Q, rag rag. BB checks I fire out 50g. BB tanks for a bit and then moves all in.

I then tank for five minutes and decide Jim has the Queen. I fold and Jim flashes the queen to me.

After all of that I'm down to 70K in chips with the average stack at 300,000.

Now tell me if your not drained after reading about that?

Again thanks for your support guys, and all in all it was a very enjoyable experience. Going deep in two deepstack tournaments in two weeks does drain you but I'm fairly exhilirated with the accomplishment and am pleased in the knowledge that I can mix it up with the best of them.
