Well done to all that did well in the GF.

Particularly to Dave, Carmine & Jamie. All Checksides regulars that ran deep, top job guys.

and of course Kon for taking it down.

Special mention to Damien, who got moved from the feature table on Saturday to make room for a guy that "needed attention" (i.e. was too drunk to deal). We all felt sorry for Damien, but looks like it was prob one of the best things that could have happened to him! He told me he was basically down to about 250 in chips and ready to go home, before going on a run and finishing the day with about 260K!! Great effort.

Mind you, after what happened on the feature table after he left, any one of us would have changed positions with him in a second. Things got really silly from then on........

I hope the 888pl guys can review their policy and instead of "promoting" a guy that is acting that way, just chuck him out, because he made an absolute farce of our table....

As far as I know Jo, and remember I wasn't there, there were 2 reasons he was moved to the feature table.

Because of the way he was it was felt having an actual dealer (and a pretty good one in Alex) on his table would help to control him.

The other was that he is colour blind and couldn't tell the difference between black/purple/blue and the feature table had the best lighting, plus a dealer who could help him sort his chips. Having another player who have their own chip stack help in that situation is not ideal.

If he had been knocked out much earlier obviously it wouldn't have been an issue, it's just unfortunate for those who were affected by it.

He was definately not "promoted" though.

Thanks Caleb,

If that guy was "colour blind", then I am Hitler's illigit Love child! He is already quoted in a different thread as being one of the riverland's "best players", so he has seen those chips before. (and for the record, Alex did his absolute best to control him, and did well, but there were alot of things that he did that no-one could possibly control)....

He was playing you guys from the start, and I believe Alex might even back up those claims....

You need to be careful that people don't see it as a way to get onto the feature table, because it might just become a regular occurance otherwise mate, and a regular occurance of 888pl members carrying on like that is something we cannot allow to happen.....

I had him on my table the whole way through Day 2 until final table and I had to sort every pot I awarded for him as he couldn't tell the purple and blues apart.

If he was acting it was a very convincing job.

I simply asked him to state what amount he was wishing to raise and we kept his chips in very seperate stacks from then on. Keep in mind he was quite sober by that stage though. 8-)

The number of riverlanders that played the GF was limited to a handful, Barhi the Turkish Delight, Nardi, Swannie, Tim Bredle and Crookie, to my knowelege none of these are colour blind. I would be interested in who he actually was and where he was from. The only colour blind player I have encountered in the Riverland is Couple a Hundred Fred, and he's a gentleman but didnt plat the GF.

I think they are talking about Bahri gunny. He is definately not colour blind...

Talks lots, but is largely harmless. I like him, but if the stories were correct he may have been acting like a tool.

He was smashed on Sat arvo and Sat night.
From what I could hear from my table is was just plain loud and drunk. Not a pleasant playing environment for anybody.
Garth had to step in and get him to tone it down.
It wasn't good. He certainly brought the "pub" back into pub poker if you know what I mean. And it's not good for people that are taking such a big and serious event seriously.

If its true, why was he still being served alcohol? Or even allowed to remain on licenced premises?

Surely the right of the many outweigh the rights of the individual?

In saying the above I was in the GF until about 7pm on saturday night and never heard anything about it.
