Give pokerroom a try. I spend TONS of time on this site. Good graphics, great lobby, easy to find specific tournaments and a huge assortment of them to satisfy even the fattest of wallets. Careful tho, Alot of scandinavians play this site and we all know how dangerous they can be when it comes to poker. But also plenty of cocky Yanks to help you fatten up your bankroll.

I thought PokerRoom shut down American players? I used to play there.

LOL see, I think that PokerStars is rigged... lol
I think its just how you run at a specific site.. if you run bad somewhere then its rigged!
So therefore based on my deep and meaningful logic.. the NPL is rigged!! (umm jokes by the way)
ture i alwayy seem to say that partypoker is rigged when i have a bad night or a couple of river beats never say it when i win though

Re: Where do you play?
I've been hearing/seeing a lot of this rigged talk lately on PKR. I think I saw not so long ago a message stating how the shuffling/dealing is actually done.
From my point of view, it's a digital environment where it's programed by people - therefore it's open to be rigged - but that's as far as it goes. Can you IMAGINE the lawsuit if it was proved that a poker site was deliberately rigging hands?
I've noticed the player on PKR that was claiming the loudest that it was 'definitely rigged' is not the best player to begin with and was making stupid bets/calls.
I think also that some people are forgetting there's a huge amount of luck involved in poker. I'd say it's 30% skill at the most, particularly online. I'm sure Garth can whip out some relative stats here.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Re: Where do you play?
Because of the inordinate amount of hands being played simultaneously on any poker gaming site there is always going to be the probability of bad beats.
Playing no limit on line is completely different to playing live, I think that you will find when your playing online that it is much harder to push people off pots and opponents are more likely to call you down, bluffing is a major component of playing live is that you can read body language and pick up tells, not just betting patterns.
And remember in any one hand it mainly breaks down to 90% luck and 10% skill.
And always remember you are always going to cop more bad beats online because there are more hands being dealt whilst you play, if you do steam up take a break, go for a smoke or a drink, walk around and try and talk to somebody else about something non pokerish.

Re: Where do you play?
Theres a poker site not mentioned here called TruePoker.com
I started my poker playing skills building on this site. I think it is one of only a few sites, that are if not as good as playing live. Number's have disappeared since the USA banking thingy that happen a year or so ago, but the US are slowing coming back here.
Worth a look, not the best site anymore due to no-one is on during our Australian evenings.
Was Suited right?
