Would you like to play against the pro's.

Should the pros play?

Yes - let them in allows me to test my mettle?

No - hell no, this is a big money event and I wouldn't stand the chance of a big score against them pros!

FYI the poker tables at my venue (Club Ringwood) still have a big ol' NPL in the middle of them.

Really against the pro idea. I like the idea that this is an event that is for members who have put in the hard yards. All will have at least played 10 games in venue and either qualified or brought a seat. A celebrity thrown in that is advertised is great for building excitement but that is as far as I would go. What do pro's do except reduce your chances of cashing.

OK , this is obviously not happening in the next 888PL GF ...

For a league to advertise "Pro's" as special guest's from the outset of a season's promotion is perfectly fine !

To open it up and produce "Pro's" at the last "minute" is not real fair on the supporters of the League .

Yes , they can go to there local and play there 10 games and qualify (why would a "Pro" bother ?) .

I would like a "Pro" to come and play at the Louisianna with us , i rekon i would card them up and sit with them .... to learn ! ... ;)
When choosing between the 2 evils , I like to choose the 1 i haven't tried yet !

I can't recall if there has been wording to this effect, but I've always been under the impression the 888PL Grand Final was there so active members of the 888PL could have a chance at the big cash in their "back yard". If 888PL members wanted to play a $500 BI MTT against a non 888PL member-base, there are plenty of opportunities to pursue this in casinos and the likes.

I like it just the way it is now.

Ok I definitely went about this the wrong way as many of you seem to have missed the point.

I'm not going to change anything for the upcoming and future grand finals at this stage. I will definitely allow 6 months for time to communicate any changes and any announced changes would not come into effect until the next subsequent GF after the upcoming one.

Now in saying that, 888PL players can still qualify and satellite in but do we drop the membership and 10 away game qualification and allow poker pros to buy in directly?

My question was not in regard to what has occurred and been said previously but what players would be interested in for future large buy in events.
