And apparently it's also tied in with their rules - ALL card games must be dealt from a shoe.

what about tourneys? does anyone know?

their website doesn't have much info, although there is a $200 tourney on a monday night which might be interesting

The amount of hands dealt is not an issue.

The dealers are quite quick, it is more your annoyance that they use the shoe and you wonder why?!?!

Rake isn't bad, hate the $5 hr table hire, but if you get paid off on your big hands, you don't mind (you just have to adjust to include this as a sunk cost).

The only thing that takes a real long time to adjust is the skinniness of the cards!!! They are unreal!! Anorexic cards take a while to get used to.

On the whole, really ok.

I could tell you about another aus casino that would have you shaking your head....

Anyone ever been to launceston casino? 3 blackjack tables and video roulette. They dont even have poker!!

To be fair it's not a casino. It's a "country club"

Hobart was just as bad when I was there. 1 poker table. 5-card stud only. (1 down, 4 up). This was several years ago so hopefully it's been improved since then.
