For the beginners I would definitely recommend pokerstrategy.com
It also had intermediate and advanced stuff (which I've not bothered reading as yet on that site) but early indications are it's very decent.
Essentially it forces new players to realise certain aspects of the game that.. how do I put this nicely?..... those who frequent the freerolls may or may not be considering.
It's very much "here's a theory", "this is why you're doing it", "like it", "you may thank us later".
And anyone with half a brain SHOULD be thanking them later.

Their advanced stuff requires you to rack up points - they want to make sure you've got a grasp of each level of knowledge before you move on to a new one.

Yes, excellent point.
They are forcing you to learn before you can try your hand at more advanced things.
Not the worst idea I've ever heard.

Re: Poker Resource Reviews
I would urge caution regarding pokerstrategy.com's basic short-stack strategy... One of their 'rules' is to fold QQ preflop to a raise and call before you (in a SnG) and thats just wrong (imho)...
You do get a free $50 bankroll (after reading all their beginner articles and passing a quiz) for a new signup at a site (stars, fulltilt etc) and another $50 released based on your rake, and the ONLY way to earn their points and gain access to the more advanced material is by playing that new account.
Also (yes they were only the beginner level, Bronze I think) but I watched a few of their SnG coaching videos (they have a live, login to the site and watch the coach play, with separate chat software to ask coach questions which is quite cool) but EVERY one I saw the coach had a losing session, usually complaining about the poor standard and 'donkouts' cos he hasnt played less than a $22 Sng in like a year....
I havent sampled their more advanced stuff, so really cant comment on it, but I didnt like their basic level stuff.

Re: Poker Resource Reviews
i would say the one poker related study that i do pretty much every day is the poker listings question
http://www.pokerlistings.com/poker-question
gives good situational advice
when you go through the previous ones, only scroll down so you can see the question, not the answer. you will get a lot out of it, i certainly have
secondly, this was posted in another thread, but the micro stakes forum on 2+2 has a wealth of information, ranging from beginner to stuff for a better than average player looking to move up from micro stakes, which is pretty much all of us in a nutshell
the thread below is literally a gold mine of information, and i think it has improved my game no end.
