Morally, should you look at other people's hole cards if they give you the opportunity?

I see both sides, its so GREY of an area i'm sitting on the fence. :geek:

But think of it this way.

You have AA and you see that the player next to you has QQ, you know if you push he will call you, so why not just raise it and c-bet on the flop, turn, river as long as a Q doesnt come out.

However.......
The flop is 7, 2, Q rainbow and he bets the pot or goes all-in. You fold. You show AA and everyone wants to know how you made such a wicked laydown. You say you saw his cards. (you prob wouldn't but say you did)

How do you think you would be viewed by the other remaining players at the table? You could justify it to them all you want, but all you'll get is an arguement and called a cheat.

Just my opinion.

In my interpretation of the Casino rules, railbirding someone is fine, as long as you're not telling anyone else involved in that hand.
Brett was entirely correct to what he stated "It is the palyers responsibility to protect their hole cards."
In saying that if you are sitting at a table and are involved in a hand with multiple players and you happen to see someone's hole card(s), you are then obligated to share the information you have acquired, with everyone involved in that hand. you are not allowed to have an unfair advantage over other people in the pot. Therefore you must disclose the contents of any cards you have seen. Not doing so can result in a breach of player ethics. With disciplinary action enforced.
