Taken from the NPL website, seems pretty clear cut.
9. Face Up. All cards will be turned face up once a player is all-in and all betting action is complete.

Re: All in Blind
ignore the npl website rules (see the acting out of turn discussion as to why)
but yes that's basically what should happen.

Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!

Fun and Entertaining --locally we have dubbed it
The ' Bagger ' Move -- ie. you are dealt your two cards and without looking at your cards you go all in - usually low stack one or two chips only. The Hand continues as the bagger is in a helpless position and dosent effect others his cards are face down all hand and are in fact the the final cards shown - if lucky ' the bagger' --doesnt know whats in the bag--- jags something and continues if not the bagger has entertained and most of the venue knows the result.
try it some time ---- long live ' the Bagger '

Re: All in Blind
It's from a long out dated rule.
But if a player has not witnessed his cards or does not know the contents of the whole card, then no; he or she does not have to open and expose the hand.
It adds a little bit of excitement and suspense.
Is it a big deal?
Can we do one of those votey thingys? lol

Re: All in Blind
Something that happened last night...
Bloke (Player 3) goes all in Big Blind. And he gets two callers.
Flop is a pair. Player 1 bets, and is called.
Turn nothing... Player 1 bets, and called.
River makes 2 pair. Player 1 big bets, and Player 2 folds.
Player 1 mucks his cards, and Player 3 takes his side pot, without showing.
I think that Player 1 should've been made to show his bluff, and seen if Player 3 legitimately won his hand.

I'm not perfect. I'm what perfect aspires to become

Re: All in Blind
Was it accidental? Did he forget that there was another player all in?
If not then this could, ALMOST, be classified as collusion. He could have being betting to protect the all in player. I would like to know where this occurred?

if he folded, he can muck his hand coz it was them 2 playing 4 that pot and not the the person that was all in.
