LIKE-MINDEDNESS

Postby Todd Rivers » Mon Jan 05, 2009 5:07 pm

Is that a word?
Anyway people, just posting something that i've wanted to post for a while, and now i've got a sec, so i will.

Most people on this forum are very opinionated. But then who isn't?
Some just like to shout it out for anyone to hear and others keep it to themselves.

I dont see myself as an authority on anything except poker. So anything i say on here NON-poker related is just purely my personal thoughts and they are not related to anything NPL. This is of course fairly obvious.

But the reason i bring it up, is that i have an opinion about many things and i like to debate stuff, and the reason i do it here has nothing to do with my position in NPL.

I have many mates, cricket mates, footy mates, work mates, best mates, school mates, poker mates, the list goes on, but its poker people that i respect and listen to the most.

Poker requires a full rounding of abilities and knowledge IMO and all the people i've met through poker proves this.

I've seen over and over how cleaners and fast-food employees can outwit bank managers and accountants and board members ect ect.

Poker players are smart, they get into other people's heads (which is important in life, you must see things from anothers viewpoint) the read body language and use statistics and try to make the BEST DECISIONS, thats what poker is about - everyone gets dealt the same cards eventually, its the decisions you make along the way that prove you to be successful or not - again, a lot like life.

So basically what i'm trying to say is, i spend whatever spare time i get on this site because i value everyones opinion on here. :D Cheers!
