If you are in a bubble type situation and not massively short stacked yourself, check it down.

If you think you can get more from the table, or have a strong hand, bet away.

Just don't get upset if you bet the winning hand out of the pot and have the all-in'er come back to haunt you!

Usually in the the circumstances of a dry side pot. It is customary to minimum bet if you make the nuts whether it be on the flop, turn or river.

In reference to the quad aces scenario, you could bet, any decent player with any other hand combination should know to fold. The second way to look at it is if you check the stone cold nuts in dry pot you are also showing a lot of respect to your opponent. Its is also a good way to gain there respect. The next time you raise, they may give you the credit you think you deserve!

I never did, it was easier that way :)

benny the cunt, yep that's fine.

My objection is to the theory that you should always do it and like it. It really rubs me the wrong way :)
Pardon me, but I think you'll find that's a shovel. See you next Tuesday!
